“We Win” by Pastor Richard Daughtridge 03/29/20

  • “We Win” by Pastor Richard Daughtridge 03/29/20
  • Yesterday I heard President Trump say, “We are in a war, a very different kind of war.” This is a war we will win. We are left on earth, behind the enemy line until he comes.
  • 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
  •  We are not home yet, but we are not forgotten. Christ is in us. We are in a battle.
  • We will see this virus pass. Let’s all stand firm and share hope and strength.
  •  I do not allow myself to believe this sickness came from God as projected by some. That would confuse the image in my heart of what God is really like. Caring and loving.  The devil came to kill, steal, and destroy. There is the enemy. Christ came offering abundant life and love.
  •  James 1:13 (KJV)  Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
  • God turns every tragedy into purpose for believers.
  • Romans 8:28 (KJV)  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
  • We Win ! Stay Safe Pastor Richard

Outside service 09/16/2018 will be moved inside on Sunday after 9/11 due to excessive rains.

Sunday after 9-11 Service has been moved inside of church due to wet grounds and chances of more rain. Banks are still slippery.
The Sunday after 9,11, 2001 was a moment in time when our nation prayed to God for his help and protection. The churches had record attendance and the darkness of 9-11 was met by the great light that overcomes darkness, Jesus Christ. We will embrace that resolve this Sunday Sept.16., ,in song and sermon remembering to pray for our, nation, first responders and the victims of 9-11. As well we’ll pray for God’s protection from future plots against our nation. Service will begin at 9:30 as usual. Come join us as we unite our hearts in prayer. “Peeking Through the Gates of Heaven”. New Sermon Series Begins Feb. 19, 2017

Peeking Through the Gates of Heaven    Sermon series by Pastor Richard Daughtridge

Things we want to cover in this series.

Where is Heaven? Is Heaven a physical place?

Things that were,   Things that are.   Things that will be.

  • Earththe and  New Earth,
  • Paradise Abraham’s bosom, Hell,

Revelation 1:18, “I am he who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

  • Heaven,   New Heaven, New Jerusalem,
  • Physical Spiritual Being

Mission of Heaven   Luke 15: 10 (KJV)  Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth

Desire for Heaven   Hebrews 11:16 (KJV)  But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Loved ones cheering us on.   Hebrews 12:1-2 (KJV)  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Administrating Government   Revelation 5:7-10 (KJV)  And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.  And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;  And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Past Death of Saints    Luke 16:22-23 (KJV)  And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;  And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

.Support for the Saints    Romans 8:34-35 (KJV)  Who is he that           condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Prayers For Us In Heaven     Hebrew 7:29  Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Next week: “Heavens Residents”

Join Us AS We Remember The Heroes Of 911

Posted in Annoucement, Sermons, Weekly Bell Ringer on September 8, 2016 by jacobschurch

This Sunday September 11, 2016 will be the 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center. We will honor the victims, heroes, and their families as we remember them in our prayers and words of condolences.

Let’s not forget to give a hearty thank you to their comrades, all the first responders, the fireman, the police, the soldiers and the medical staff in our lives today.

We also will worship and give thanks to God for keeping us safe through these days of evil aggression.

We, at Jacob’s Church, will be having a special Sunday service in which we will remember them.

Testimonies of that day will be shared by:

Dwayne Smith, who was part of the Secret Service Team that secured the White House on 911. He was assigned to protect the presidential family and the White House Staff and was on duty that day. He’ll share some of those memories.

Rori Cannon Daughtridge, now Pastor Daughtridge’s daughter-in law, did not go to work that day. She normally walked by the Trade Center but from the riverside in terror she watched the second plane crashed into the tower. Her future husband, Ryan, was in Africa calling everyone he knew to find out if she was alright. Though they we estranged for two years he knew the love of his life was somewhere near that Trade Center. Rori can tell the rest of the story.

Pastor Richard will sing ‘Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning.

The sermon for Sunday will be, “Out of the Rubble Stood a Cross” by Pastor Richard.

We will have a prayer for the families of the 911 tragedy, for the first responders that protect us today and for America, the nation we love.

Service will begin at 9:30 AM Directions 495 Harbaugh Valley Road just off Rt.16 between Blue Ridge Summit and Emmittsburg. Proceed east on Route 16 out of Waynesboro, after Blue Ridge Sportsman club turn right at next road. Church is just up the road on right. Look for sign on Rt.16 and Harbaugh Valley Road.
