Sunday May 29, Memorial Day Weekend, we will honor those who served to defend our freedom. This year we will be honor these during the morning service, at 9:30 AM. World War II veteran, Grady Grimm, will be sharing his experience.
We will be unfolding the American Flag, used in 911 commemorations around the area beginning the very week our nation was attacked on 9/11.
After the flag is unfolded we will have our annual Memorial Day Weekend Role Call, prayer and Taps on the Bugle.
Our bluegrass band will lead worship and well as a song tribute to those who served.
There will be lunch and fellowship served in the pavilion immediately following the ceremonies. Sign ups begin next week. Church is providing bread, meat, deserts and drinks. Please bring a hot vegetable or salad to share.
Bring your lawn chairs as this event and our service will be held outside.
Sermon by Pastor Richard that day will be “One Nation Under God”.
