“Slow Dancing with God” a sermon outline 08/31/14 by Pastor Richard Daughtridge
Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Col. 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
Psalm 31:20 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Proverbs 9:17 Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Three Dance Partners
1. Father Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
2. Son Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
3. Holy Spirit Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. [27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
May your dance last forever.
Closing Song : “What a friend we have in Jesus.”

“Never Say Never? ” a sermon by Pastor Richard Daughtridge 08/17/14
1. Never confuse Christians for Christ
John 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
2. Never accept doctrines that are unfounded in the Word of God
Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Ephes. 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
3. Never let the sun go down on your wrath.
Ephes. 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
4. Never rush to argue.
James 1:19-20 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to .
5. Never wait to repent when we’ve sinned.
Jeremiah 9:18 And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
6. Never take the credit for success.
2 Cor. 10:13 But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
7. Never place a limit on God’s ability.
Ephes. 3:20-21 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, [21] Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
8. Never confuse worrying about something as praying for something.
1 Tim. 2:1
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
9. Never place yourself as superior to another.
Philip. 2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
10. Never argue with a donkey.
Numbers 22:29-30 And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee. [30] And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.
