“I am Risen,  Identifying the work of Christ in You”,  a sermon outline,  by Pastor Richard Daughtridge at Jacob’s Church in Fairfield Pennsylvania  near Gettysburg and Fort Richie, close to Frederick, and Hagerstown, Maryland.

1.      Identify with the Crucifixion  (Unrighteousness is consumed by righteousness.)

Galatians 2:20   I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

2.      Identify with the Resurrection (Death is consumed by life.)  (I am Risen)

Romans 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 6:4    Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 7:6   But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

 3.      Identify with the Kingdom  (Kingdom of Satan is conquered by the Kingdom of God.)

John 18:36  Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Mark 10:14-15  But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. [15] Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

Luke 22:29-30  And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; [30] That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

4.      Identify with the Word of God     (Powers of disbelief are disarmed by the Word of God)

Hebrews 4:12   For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

5.      Identify with the Church (Church membership is collective ownership of the mission given by God.)

1 Cor. 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

6.      Identify with the  Body of Christ (War on a global scale must be fought globally.)

Romans 7:4  Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

7.  Identify your Enemy – Friendly fire is an oxymoron and eventually turns into corporate anialation.

John 8:12  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

2 Cor. 4:6   For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Summary

Hebrews 10:35-38    Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. [36] For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. [37] For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. [38] Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

“The Doctor is In, The Prognosis of Dr. Luke”, a sermon by Pastor Richard A. Daughtridge 04/22/12 Sermon Notes

Patient’s Name: Theophilus

 Insurance or Assurance

Luke 1:1-4  Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, [2] Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; [3] It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, [4] That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

Acts 1:1-11  The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

  •  Post Op Instructions

[2] Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

  •  Identifications and Authorities

[3] To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: [4] And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. [5] For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

  • Symptoms, Recovery, and Reinforcements

[6] When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? [7] And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. [8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. [9] And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

  •  Promises

[10] And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; [11] Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Final Prognosis : We are going to live forever.

Children Sing He Is Alive As They Carry The Cross To the Alter

After the Resurrection, ABC’s of Christianity  sermon 04/15/12 by Pastor Richard A. Daughtridge

Access

“ The road to heaven is paved with good intentions.”

Matthew 7:13-14  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Belief

  • “A belief system must have an object.”
  • “ Believe in something or you’ll fall for anything.”
  • “ Truth Demands a Response.”

What should my response be?   Hearing – Believing – confessing – Receiving- Be Baptized

Justification:

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Hear:

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Believe:

Romans 10:10   For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;

Confess:

and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Acts 16:31  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Receive

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

 Be Baptized

Matthew 28:19  Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.

Conquer

  • “I searched for the ememy and found it was me.”
  • “Every champion must first conquer himself before a challenge.”

Matthew 10:38   And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Matthew 16:24     Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me
