It’s been said, “A thousand words can paint a picture.” Well if that’s the case there must be thousands of portraits of God throughout the Bible. Over  the next weeks we want to display many of  these portraits here at Jacob’s Church.

Rev. 1:8  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty

John 1:18    No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

“A lump of clay getting ready to give birth. A Potter circles the lump ready to remold a master piece. A new life is about to be concieved as a result of love, ” Pastor Richard Daughtridge

Genesis 1:1-2 Amplified Bible  “ In the beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.

John 1:1-5  KJV  “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Rev. 19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

John 1:14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Rev. 2:28   And I will give him the morning star.

Rev. 22:16   I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
