PASTOR’S THOUGHTS : Having a Heart for the World by Pastor Richard Daughtridge

In a world that is filled with calamity and need we at Jacob’s Church want to obey the true definition of  being a friend. We are Christ’s legs, ears, eyes, and hands and want to go when called, as was the case with Judy. We want to listen to the needs of humanity and await the opportunity to relieve the suffering. May we never be blinded by selfish ambitions that we are no longer serving as Christ’s eyes and may our hands never stop working to serve others thereby serving Christ. Thanks to many of you that helped send her to Russia and may her stories inspire us all to feel the heartbeat of those that she touched.

Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

1 Corinthians 9:16 “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”

  1. We really enjoyed Judy’s presentation. It is hard for us to comprehend that only 1% of the population calls themselves Evangelical Christian. Plus, what a great opportunity to share the gospel in SCHOOL! Maybe Russia’s government now has it right. Let the Christians preach and serve in school. What a mission field.
